The league is made up of 5 divisions with promotion and relegation each season. It is a single rink league. Last season saw our Beez team finish second in division 5 and gain promotion to division 4 and our Falcons team won division 3 and were promoted to division 2.
Following on that success the Beez under the captaincy of Dave Whitehead have won division 4 this season and the Falcons led by captain Les Fish have won division 2. This is a great achievement in having 2 teams promoted in consecutive seasons.
At the end of the season the 5 league winners and 3 best second placed teams qualify for a knock out play-off. Last season the Falcons narrowly lost the final of the play-offs.
This year the final rounds are being played at Spencer Melksham. The quarter finals are on Monday 2nd September at 2pm when the Beez take on Chippenham Town A who won division 1 whilst the Falcons play against Avon Arrows who were runners up in division 1. Two tough matches for our sides. If the teams are successful in those games then they progress to the semi-finals on Tuesday 3rd September with the final on Thursday the 5th.
