Yesterday saw our annual match between the Ladies and the men which brings the organised season of events on the green at Calne to a close.
This year’s event was played as 5 rinks of triples with the Men winning 4 of the 5 rinks. The Ladies winning rink was skipped by Esther who took the scalp of our chairman Steve Mc.
It was good to see a number of our new bowlers playing. They have now found the enjoyment of playing in the rain as there was one short break when a heavy shower descend on Calne making the players take shelter.
The bowls was followed by a spider and raffle before all present enjoyed a great tea prepared by the Ladies.
